GNSC is looking for a Summer Camps Coordinator who can work a full-time summer contract bewteen June and September 2023, with some flexible part-time planning and training hours to start earlier in June. We are looking for a dynamic, creative individual whose primary work will be to support 6 summer camps across the Neighbourhood Groups. This role will support training summer staff, and the supporting camp staff to deliver safe, engaging summer day camp experiences to 4-14 yr olds across the Neighbourhoods of Guelph.

GNSC is looking for Summer Camp Supervisors at 5 Neighbourhood Group sites across Guelph. These jobs are full-time summer contracts, supported by the Canada Summer Jobs grants from the government of Canada. We are hiring for 8-10 weeks of work between July and September 2023, with some flexible part-time planning and training hours to start earlier in June. We are looking for a creative and caring people who have some day camp experience, and who want to have an amazing summer working with youth and kids across Guelph. This role will support a staff team of Camp Leaders at one site to plan and deliver safe, engaging summer day camp experiences to 4-14 yr olds during July and August.

GNSC is looking for a Community Development Assistant to work alongside the GNSC’s Health Equity Lead in project planning, research, and health equity initiatives across the neighbourhood groups. As a Community Development Assistant, you will conduct participatory research and engage with our partners and other local agencies/organizations. This is a full-time, 8-week summer contract, supported by the Canada Summer Jobs grants from the government of Canada.

Brant Avenue Neighbourhood Group (BANG) is looking for a Food Programs Coordinator to work alongside the community leaders and volunteers to address food security in the neighbourhood group. As a Food Programs Coordinator, you will play a lead role with our partners and other local agencies/organizations to supply the BANG food cupboard, and work directly to support community members and their families. This role includes physical work in the management and transfer of stock, and direct support of community members. This is a part-time, permanent role, for up to 20 hours per week.

Thank you all for reaching out and offering supports. During the pandemic, our usual volunteering opportunities have changed quite a bit. A lot of our work has focused on food and essential needs support to the most vulnerable members of our neighbourhoods. Two current volunteer roles are:
In this role volunteers will be asked to pick up food hampers and deliver them to community members. You will not be asked to interact with anyone directly. You will go to a predetermined pick up site and the packages will be placed in a pick-up area along with delivery details. You will take the package(s) and delivery them to their destination. There will be a drop spot (porch, patio, front steps) where you will leave the package.
