There are a number of ways to get involved with the GNSC:
Drop by an event to meet your neighbours and find out more about your Neighbourhood Group! Please check out our Event page to see what is happening! www.guelphneighbourhoods.org/events/
First of all, if you live in Guelph, it’s likely that you’re already part of a neighbourhood group! Check out the calendar of events to see what’s coming up soon in your neighbourhood. Participating in events and programs is a great way to get connected with your community and learn about the places and people around you. What’s more: getting involved with your neighbourhood group also connects you with the network of neighbourhood groups across the city, GNSC parters, funders, and community groups through the GNSC. There’s so much amazing work going on in our city, and your neighbourhood group is great way to get connected with what’s happening, as well as giving you an opportunity to help build the type of neighbourhood you’d like to see!
By donating financially to the GNSC, you can feel confident that your are contributing to an organization that is on the ground working with community members directly. Check out all the amazing things that are happening because of generous donors that support the GNSC. Click here to learn more about making a contribution.
Volunteering with the GNSC can give you practical life experience while making new relationships. We offer a number of different levels of volunteering depending on your availability and skill set. Volunteering is a great way to gain strong leadership skills and also get experience using your voice in a collective setting. All volunteer hours with the GNSC are also eligible as community service hours. Click here to see what volunteer opportunities are currently available.
