Summer Camp Staff
6 different Coalition Neighbourhood Groups are offering summer camps this year. Though each camp will be unique in how they operate, they will all be day camps out of familiar spaces, 6 weeks long, Monday-Friday, and roughly 9 am – 4 pm.
At 6 sites across the city there will be a team of paid youth leaders who help create a fun and engaging day of games, sports, crafts, and activities for campers who are in grades JK – Gr 6.
GNSC is currently seeking to hire new members of our large camp team, welcoming people to be part of our caring, adventurous staff in one of the following roles:
- Summer Camp Leader
- Small Groups and Inclusion Leader
- Youth and Leader in Training Coordinator (LIT)
- Site Supervisor
Camp Coordinator
GNSC is hiring for this role that helps nurture and care for the whole camps ecology in the Neighbourhood Groups. The Camp Coordinator has typically first been a camper, and a Camp Leader, so they can bring experience and memory to their work. They help hire our summer staff team; they help set and deliver the trainings that all camp leaders go through to prepare for the summer; and they help support 6 of the camps over the 6-7 weeks of fun.
GNSC is looking for someone with camp experience who is both a team player, and who can work independently to meet the challenges and learning opportunities of hosting exciting and fun neighbourhood day camps for 25-30 amazing young campers each day.
