Form a band, learn an instrument,

make friends and get ready to rock!

During March Break, campers learn an instrument, form a band, take part in expert-led workshops, write songs, and develop the confidence to play a live show for the first time!

GGRC+ (Guelph Girls Rock Camp+) is open to students in grades 4-8 who self-identify as girls, trans, gender-diverse, non-binary, and Two-Spirit.

In partnership with the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition and the Guelph Youth Music Centre, Guelph Girls Rock Camp+ offers local youth who self-identify as girls, trans, gender-diverse, non-binary, and Two-Spirit, aged 8 – 14 a safe, supportive, and fun space to learn from experienced musicians, work towards a shared goal with a group of their peers, experiment musically, develop confidence, and play in a rock band for the first time! GGRC+ believes that introducing a Girls+ Rock Camp to Guelph will impact the next generation of Guelph’s creative community in a way that addresses the gender disparity in our thriving, but predominantly male, rock music scene.

We also offer scholarships and financial support, and we have a firm “no camper left behind” policy. If cost is a barrier in any way, please reach out—we want every camper who wants to attend to be able to join us, regardless of financial circumstances. No one will be turned away due to cost.

Did you know…?

You can donate to support GGRC+!

In partnership with the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition (GNSC), and the Guelph Youth Music Centre, we are building a supportive community where campers learn from experienced musicians, collaborate with their peers, and experience the thrill of playing in a band for the first time.

But we can’t do this alone. GGRC+ is funded by camper fees and generous sponsors and donors. With your financial support, we provide a sliding scale for campers and can empower more young people with the confidence, skills and experiences they need to thrive!
